Belfast’s economic growth has been accommodated through an expansion of the central business district to reclaim former derelict industrial sites along the city’s waterfront.

The Laganside Corporation has secured £850m of investment which has been used to transform the waterside area. Titanic Quarter has launched an outline framework for the development of 185 acres of former ship building land and over the next ten years the retail core of the city will be transformed with over 2 million sq ft of new retail space.
